Cam and Pumpkin :)

Our awesome next door neighbours' adopted a golden retriever/poodle puppy a couple of weeks ago and today we all got to meet her. It was love at first sight for Cam and Pumpkin (the puppy). High jinks ensued :)

Big boy at the table

Cam seems to be growing so fast these days; every day he's accomplished something new. Today we were hanging out in the afternoon and Cam pointed up to the chair, so I sat him up in it. He loved it! Pretty soon we'll all be having dinner at the table together - Cam'll be in a booster seat though :)

I've got to get a shot of his "monster" socks - he's got a pair of them on here and they are the cutest things ever! They've got these cute little toes on the end - adorable!!

Still loving the new camera

Saturday hijinks before the Halloween party - Cam getting thrown up in the air by daddy :) If I could catch his 28lbs, I'd do it too, but I don't trust myself or my biceps! Cam loves this of course, even though its a tad scary for mommy. As far as he's concerned, the higher he goes up, the more fun it is!

Yay its the weekend!!

Everyone is just happier on Saturdays, aren't they?

We have a fun weekend ahead of us: this afternoon we are going to our wonderful neighbour's Katherine, Jason and Ryan's Halloween party later this afternoon (yay, get to wear our 100% polyester giraffe costume when its 90° out!) and on Sunday we're going to see Grams at her house in Atascadero. More details later!!

Quack quack quack

Cam has fallen in love with this adorable book from Nanny Hines at our baby shower that shows pictures of animals and tells you the sounds he makes. When he hears the dogs barking in the neighbourhood (not OUR good dogs, lol), he points outside and says "oof oof". This weekend his favourite was "baa baa" for the sheep in the book. Completely doesn't go with the picture of him chewing on a duck but his smile was so cute, we had to post it :)

Cam's stomach flu was slow in going away, but he's on the mend. It was 5 days before he could keep anything other than bread and formula down! But he never gets tired of "walking" around the house...as long as he has some fingers to hold on to :)

The sharer

Cam wants everyone to see what he's having for dinner :) Yogurt drops, ala Gerber Toddler. He loves those things!

Actually, daddy was tickling his feet under the high chair and Cam was giggling away, so we snapped a photo. Happy Tuesday!

Playin' in the swings

It was a gorgeous Sunday here in Paso and after Cam's lunchtime nap, we decided to head over to the Barney Schwartz Park and go for a walk. There is a fantastic playground there (which we'll spend many hours at in the future, we're sure!) and also some "big-little kid swings" (Cam looked so little in them, which is such a feat as he's such a big-little kid) which Cam tried out and loved, although he was having a lot of fun just people watching. Had to post the second photo: a gal at daycare, as well as Cam's Aunt Mary Ann, tease him by calling him "The Judge" - he just sits and watches things happening with no expression on his face. He was actually tired in this shot after playing on the swings and walking all over the park with us :)

All in all, the whole family got a little exercise and some vitamin D - can't ask for anything more on the tail end of a fantastic weekend. We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend too :)

Mango Man :)

We had gotten a little off track with Cam's solids when he was sick a couple of weeks ago and having been working our way back on to the track. Last night I cooked up some mango (which he tried before and loved) and he CHOWED. So great to have his appetite back!

Now that he's got a couple of teeth coming in on the bottom, his new favourite thing to do is to bite down on the spoon as I'm trying to bring it out of his mouth. He thinks is the funniest thing in the world; I'll post some video below of Mr. Funny Mango-Man!

Of course, ignore the fact he's trying to put the end that doesn't have any food into his mouth :) Never said he was a genius - just a cutie-pie!!

Lazy Saturday in the Burjewski household

Just an easy, somewhat lazy Saturday here in the Burjewski house. Cam seems to be over his ear infection (hallelujah!!), although the cough isn't gone, we are suspecting potential allergies; spring has sprung here in California and pollen is everywhere. We see the Doc on Tuesday for a recheck on the ear and potentially our 6 month shots, provided the Camster is healthy. We stopped the antibiotics on Thursday and his appetite is back with a venegence, so we think we're moving in the right direction.

He was in rare form this morning and we got a serious amount of giggles and laughter on some video, but mommy looks like death warmed over (it was pre-shower, hair combing, etc), so its unlikely we'll be posting it online. We'll try again tomorrow! This "Happy Kid Shot" will have to do ya :)

A hat for Anne's baby-on-the-way

The good thing about trying to get a hat to fit Cam, is that I've been able to practice on getting the size right and can share the practice's with our friends. Here Cam is modeling a hat for our friend Anne's new baby, due any day. Hopefully it won't be *too* big on the new little guy, but he'll grow into it :)

The first one was too big...

...the second one was too big, the third one was juuuuuust right :) Finally, after a week, Cam has a hat that mommy made for him! The neat thing about this hat is that its very expandable, so he'll be able to wear it for quite a while...unlike most of his clothes, lol.

I found a couple of other cute hats to make, so my friends with little boys can expect packages in the mail within the next few weeks :)

Photogenic Friday

Cam was quite photogenic today! Well, out of about 40 photos, these are the best :) It was a gorgeous sunny and warm Friday here in Paso, so we spent a lot of time outside enjoying the weather. No rain scheduled until Thursday next week, so we'll be playing outside a lot this weekend. Enjoy the holiday on Monday, everyone!

The first smile!!

Everyone tells you that its gas, but I'm positive Cam has been smiling at us since he was about 3 weeks old...it took forever to get a photo of it b/c he hated the flash on the camera, but Auntie Trina finally caught his grin digitally while she was visiting. And he's smiling at mommy in this picture (for once! he smiled at daddy first)
